IDP s in Sagonsongan shelters complain lack of water

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur: Internally displaced persons of the Marawi Siege now residing in the Phase 2 of the government-provided temporary shelters in Sagonsongan here complained the lack of water and other basic necessities. 

IDP leader Meno Manabilang, although not living within the areas that do not have water supply, said the situation is deplorable. It was too difficult for them to get water for drinking, washing and bathing, he said, adding that o Only those with vehicles can buy wter somewhere else. 

He hoped the government can transfer them to a more comfortable place if it cannot improve their present lot. - RSP
