Statement of ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman on Tropical Storm Vinta

The ARMM Regional Government has been coordinating with our local government units and the Western Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines as we continue to assess the impacts of Tropical Storm Vinta on the region. Initial reports indicate damaged properties and a number of casualties, especially in Lanao del Sur.

Members and officials of the regional Humanitarian Emergency Action and Response Team are on standby, with teams ready to be deployed as soon as possible. Relief packs are also ready for distribution in areas affected by the heavy rains across the region.
