Gandamra leads historic caravan to the sieged Marawi

Mayor Gandamra expresses gratitude to those who join in the historic Peace Caravan to prepare for the return of the IDPs to Marawi City. (FB)
Mayor Majul U. Gandamra led a peace caravan on Thursday, October 26 in preparation for the upcoming return of evacuees or the so-called Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to Marawi after its siege since May 23.

Dubbed as "Kambalingan ago Kaisaisa ko Kalilintad," the caravan was participated by different government officials including those from the Department of Interior and Local Governments (DILG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), LASURECO, Department of Health (DOH) through the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) in Lanao del Sur, the City Health Office of Marawi (CHO), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), DRRMO, Task Force Bangun Marawi (TFBM), Task Force Marawi, Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas, and the media, among others.

Lasureco Acting General Manager Nordjiana T.L. Docol told the media that Lasureco is determined to provide electricity to the sieged Marawi City as everything is set for IDPs to return. (FB)
















The caravan's objectives include the restoration of the vital facilities such as power supply and water supply and the restoration of Governance through BPAT deployment.

This historic event was initiated by Atty. Gandamra to symbolize that the Marawi City will rise again and will be livable. (RSP)
