Int'l confab on Marawi post-conflict reconstruction to be held in CDO

An international conference on Marawi post-conflict reconstruction will be held on July 29, 2017 at Luxe Hotel, Limketkai Commercial Center, Cagayan de Oro City with the theme “Engaging Civil Society on a Trajectory of Peace and Prosperity.”
As scheduled, the program will start at 8:00 o’clock in the morning.
Amanoding D. Esmail, lead convenor, said that as the first ever international conference on post-conflict reconstruction: the case of Marawi, it aims to undertake integrated strategic frameworks for action tailored to the requirements of post-war rebuilding as basis for internal and external assistance which requires acute political analysis and profound knowledge of local actors and dynamics; and to underpin the reconstruction process, encourage the return of refugees, reconciliation and regional economic cooperation, and to create the economic and social conditions that will lay the foundations for the development of the recipient communities.
Maranao lawyers, doctors of medicines, certified public accountants, engineers, Ulema, academicians, business sectors, and civil society organizations are invited to the event which is organized by the Mindanao State University Marawi City; the Philippine Association of Islamic Accountants (PAIA), Inc.; the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Marawi-Lanao del Sur Chapter; the Southeast Asian Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAICCI); the Rotary Club of Cotabato City-South; and Aba Al-khail Computer School.
