DAR-ARMM holds LCMS orientation training

COTABATO CITY (October 21, 2016) – The Department of Agrarian Reform of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DAR-ARMM) has conducted a Legal Case Monitoring System (LCMS) orientation training for DAR provincial employees from Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. The orientation was held from October 10 to 11 at Pahali Suites in Zamboanga City.

The activity aimed at improving the participants’ skills in recording, monitoring and updating of pertinent data related to reported agrarian-related cases. It also looked into generating efficient ways of monitoring and reporting of the DAR-ARMM legal division’s accomplishments.

LCMS is a component of the Agrarian Legal Services, a major program of the department. The web-based monitoring system is applied in the resolution of agrarian cases nationwide.

Cases from DAR offices from various regions are entered into the system providing DAR personnel an easy access to information on those cases as well as their status.

Thus, it enables the agency to effectively dispense agrarian justice services to stakeholders. Furthermore, it also allows litigants to inquire about the status of their cases online.

The orientation training’s resource speakers were Estellita G. Tierra, Elizabeth F. Damasco, Shiela T. David, Nestor C. Bayoneto and Atty. Robert Anthony P. Yu from the DAR central office. They were welcomed by Atty. Renato D. Magno, the DAR-ARMM’s Legal Division Chief.

Legal officers and LCMS focal persons who participated in the activity manifested their preparedness in reporting their accomplishments and updating each case’s status efficiently.

The participants were able to come up with strategies in dealing with issues on internet connectivity and access to the LCMS website. The orientation clarified concerns and issues pertaining to LCMS as well as highlighted the importance of prompt reporting and updating of their monthly Agrarian Legal Services report.
