CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, September 8 -- Heinous, senseless and barbaric.
This is how members of the 18th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy of Cagayan de Oro describe the bombing incident at the Night Market in Davao City on September 2.
During the regular session Monday, legislators adopted Resolution No. 12441-2016, vehemently denouncing and condemning in the strongest possible terms, the terroristic act, which claimed the lives of 14 persons and wounded several others.
Legislators are urging the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other law enforcement agencies to leave no stones unturned and exhaust all means to bring to the bar of justice the perpetrators of the crime committed against innocent and unarmed civilians.
Vice Mayor Uy, Majority Floor Leader Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya and Councilor Romeo Calizo are the proponents of the resolution.
