(Dateline Iligan) Man walking on Street, Shot dead

A 28 year old man was shot and killed by unknown assailants while he was walking along the road at Purok 4, Saray, this City at about 11:00 o’clock in the evening, June 18, 2016.
Police identified through his Driver’s License the victim as Shalimar Mackno y Mohammad a.k.a. Lonaidof Baloi, Lanaodel Norte.
According to the police report a concerned citizen called and informed Police Station 5 about the shooting incident.
Responding policemen led by PO3 Jimmy A. Salnedia together with elements of Rescue 811 led by Rae RandolpRoxas found upon their arrival at the crime scene that the victim had no more pulse beat or any vital sign of life.
Initial investigation disclosed that while the victim was walking along the said road, 2 unidentified gunmen riding on a motorcycle suddenly shot the victim four times wounding him at the left arm and lower left portion of his body.
Witnesses told investigators that the gunmen drove towards the direction of Tibanga, this City.
Iligan City Crime Laboratory Office (SOCO) led by PSI Reuyanproccessed the crime scene.
The SOCO team found three fired cartridges from his pocket, his wallet and personal belongings small amount of money andone caliber .22 Black Widow Revolver marked North American Arms, loaded with three live ammunitions.
The victim’s body was taken by his family.
Motive of the killing is yet being determined by policemen conducting a dragnet operation for possible identification and apprehension of the perpetrators. The New Ranao Star
