PNP relieves cops seen on video laughing at attack of armed group on army camp

The cops seen laughing on facebook at a video showing the attack by armed men on an Army camp in Butig, Lanao del Sur early this month were already relieved and confined to barracks while investigation is underway.

This was revealed by Director General Ricardo Marquez during his visit to Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) last March 22.

He said that the Regional Director of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) ordered the relief and investigation of the said policemen after seeing the video clip posted on the Internet.

Marquez came to Iligan after his tour in Lanao del Sur where he had a conference with the Provincial Director and Staff concerning preparations for the forthcoming May Elections.

He told newsmen that he is now visiting the different police offices throughout the country as part of preparations to insure a peaceful, clean and orderly 2016 elections. TNRS
