Macatanong named member of Marawi Board of Canvassers in 2016 Elections

Dubbed as the Lady who fiercely fights for her rights, Schools Division Superintendent Mona A. Macatanong scored another victory as she has been submitted by The Election Officer of Marawi City as one of the members of the City Board of Canvassers.
In her letter to the Provincial Election Supervisor of Lanao del Sur, Atty. Joyce E. Moran, city elections officer, listed Macatanong as a Member of the Board of Canvassers.
The Board is composed of Atty. Joyce E. Moran, Chairman, Honorable Provincial Prosecutor Ating Dirampa Diacat, Vice Chairman and Mona A. Macatanong, Member.
The memorandum specifically mentioned that “Ms. Mona A. Macatanong is the current Division Superintendent of Schools although there is a pending case in Court with regard to her age which this Office has not received any final judgment yet.”
It may be recalled that the DepEd-ARMM had designated an OIC Schools Division Superintendent last 05 January 2016.
However, the Civil Service Commission-ARMM in a letter to the DepEd-ARMM Secretary informed that such a designation is not applicable as the position is not vacant.
