23 Lanao del Norte barangays receive mini-dump trucks and Bongo vehicles
TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – 23 barangays in Lanaodel Norte received brand new mini-dump trucks in a simple turn-over ceremony held at the covered court area of the provincial capitol grounds here.
The ceremony was led by Governor Khalid Dimaporo who urged the barangay officials present to consistently deliver excellent public service to their local residents.
“Being in the frontline and being able to interact with your constituents on a daily basis puts you all in a unique position to bring the government closer to the people”, said Governor Dimaporo.
Recipients of the mini-dump trucks include 21 barangays from Sultan Naga Dimaporo (SND) town, Brgy. Baris of Tubod, and Brgy. Dalamas of Tagoloan. All recipients of the mini-dump trucks belong to the 1st District of Lanao del Norte.
In addition, four barangays from Sultan Naga Dimaporo were also given brand-new Bongo vehicles by the provincial government on December 18, 2015.
“Dako kaayo namong pasalamat kang Governor Khalid Dimaporo sa pagsalig kanamo ug sakyanan alang sa kaayohan sa among barangay. Kini among ampingan sa kanunay ug kami maga suporta sa programa sa atong probinsya”, expressed one Brgy. Captain from SND during the turn-over rites.
The barangay captains also signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) expressing the barangay LGU’s commitment to keep the new utility vehicles in good running condition and to provide budget for its regular maintenance.
The utility vehicle distribution activity is a component of the ‘Kabarangayan Sigurado’ program of Governor Dimaporo and part of the Quibranza-Dimaporo Initiative. LAR & VNL/PIO-LDN
