12th PNP SAF Company Holds Gender Sensitivity Training

Elements of the 12th PNP Special Action Force Company, of the 1st Special Action Force Battalion, based at the boundary of Iligan City and Lanao del Norte near sitio Fatima in barangay Abuno held a one-day training on Gender Sensitivity last November 12.
The training was held in coordination with the Commission on Women and the City Social Welfare and Development who provided speakers and trainors.

According to Deputy Company Commander Sr. Inspector Henrich L. Lanada, the seminar was intended to refresh the troops on gender sensitivity since they are dealing with people in the performance of their jobs.
It is part of the 2015 last quarter activity programmed by SAF General Headquarters in Bicutan, Taguig, Metro Manila.
The Company has been assigned in its present station since the hostilities between the government and the forces of Kumander Bravo in 2008.
Nowadays, their routine ativities consist of security patrols, periodic exercises on close quarter battles, community outreach programs such as Medical Missions, Dental Missions, participation in the Brigada Eskwela at the start of classes and the like,
Simultaneous to the holding of Gender Sensitivity Training the unit also held a program for parents and children in connection with observance of National Children’s Month. TNRS
