The Russian Defense Ministry says some 200 Takfiri militants, including two senior members of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, have been killed in an attack in Syria as Moscow intensifies its anti-terror operation in the Arab country.
In an announcement on Friday, the ministry announced that Russian planes had struck the headquarters of the so-called Liwa al-Haqq militant group in Syria, killing 200 militants, including two Daesh field commanders, RIA news agency reported.
In separate attacks in the Aleppo region, northwestern Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its jets had killed a further 100 militants.
The ministry added that nearly 70 combat sorties had been carried out on Daesh positions in northern Syria by Russian fighter jets during the past day.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that the country's airstrikes on Daesh positions in Syria over the past days had triggered panic among the militant groups fighting the government.
Since September 30, Russian air force jet fighters have reportedly demolished numerous vehicles, command posts, communication centers, fuel and ammunition depots, plants used for making bombs and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), as well as several training camps, all used by Daesh. PressTV
