Datu Palawan Disomimba Memorial National High School marks founding anniversary
Datu Palawan Disomimba Memorial National High School marked its 22nd Anniversary Foundation Day on October 18, 2015.
With the theme “DPDMNHS is moving forward for effective implementation of K-12 through producing holistically equipped learners”, the event was held at DPDMNHS Compound, Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Tamparan, Lanao del Sur.
The Program started with a parade, led by the School Principal Bae Rasmia D. Macarambon, MAED, consisting of teachers and students in five groups with their candidates for Miss Datu Palawan Disomimba Memorial National High School.
The first day of the celebration was graced by the Municipal Vice Mayor Datu Alinor Disomimba Tomawis and Municipal Local Civil Registrar Hadji Abdulgaffor Macabangkit.
School Principal Bae Rasmia D Macarambon acknowledged the guests who graced the event. She welcomed the guest and thanked them for participating in their celebration.
She told the students, who will compete, to have a friendly competition. “Gawin niyo ang lahat ng makakaya niyo. Tandaan niyo lang na manalo man o matalo, lahat kayo panalo dahil lahat kayo ay may matututunan sa ating mga palaro,” Principal Macarambon said.
Tamparan Municipality Vice Mayor Datu Alinor Disomimba Tomawis delivered a speech to inspire the students, he congratulated the school system for reaching 22 years of honing students. “This kind of activity will also hone students. It will teach them determination to win and the same time learn skills.” he said.
“This is also a break for all of you from your hardworking days for teachers in educating and for students in earning knowledge,” Vice Mayor Tomawis stated. He finished his speech by saying, “I wish for this institution to stay this way, for it to hone more effective students.”
On the first day of the celebration, twelve candidates of Miss Datu Palawan Disomimba Memorial National High School ramped to impress the guests which is part of the points they will earn to win.
Also Students consisting of five groups from the school performed a Team Field Presentation, in which a winner with the best presentation will be chosen.
In the afternoon, male students from first year to fourth year level played Basketball and, along with the female students, competed in the 100 meter dash run, 200 meter dash run &, male students only, for the 400 meter dash run.
The program’s continuation will be on the following four days. On the second day (October 19, 2015), they will conduct an Essay Writing Contest, a Poster Making Contest and a Quiz Bee challenge in Science, Mathematics, MAPEH and Current Events.
On the third day (October 20, 2015), competing students will perform in the Literary Contest which are Oration, Declamation, Speech Choir; in Musical Contest which has three categories namely Vocal Solo, Duet & Chorus; and they will have a showdown in Cultural Presentation as well.
A competition for Search for Miss Datu Palawan Disomimba Memorial National High School will be participated by the twelve candidates from first year to fourth year levels. Five candidates will be awarded including the Miss Datu Palawan Disomimba Memorial National High School 2015, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, 3rd Runner-up and 4th Runner-up.
The last day of the celebration will be the awarding of Prizes of the winners from all categories. A School Islamic Assembly will also be conducted.
