Bacud Mahabah E/S receive shoes

Bongao, Tawi-Tawi -- It was supposed to be just an ordinary school day, until one hundred and four (104) pupils of Bacud Mahabah Elementary School in Bongao II District were surprised by Rebirth Outdoors Trekkers and Adventurers Philippines, Incorporated (ROTA).
As part of the latter's outreach program, all pupils were given each a pair of brand new shoes.
ROTA's outreach program aims to reach out to underprivileged pupils in the far-flung area who are in school thereby contributing significantly to their increase in attendance and school performance.
The outreach was made possible with the support and cooperation of the provincial government of Tawi-Tawi and local government of Bongao, together with the Philippine Marines and Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
The simple turn-over ceremony was witnessed by Division OIC Edna A. Alibasa, Bongao II District Supervisor Madam Nurijim H. Alvarez, School Principal Al-Khalid S. Tiling, Madam Elena Calva, members of the Philippine Marines, Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, School Nurse, teachers, parents and community leaders of Bacud Mahabah.
