Incidentally, a spokesman of Ditsaan Ramain mayor Ali Adiong who begged not to be identified told this reporter that the mayor received a phone call from a friend at daytime before the arrest of the suspicious looking guys alerting him to take extra care as some of his enemies plotted to ambush the mayor.
Immediately upon learning of the alleged ambush plot, said the spokesman, the mayor tipped off the police about the call.
Later in the evening, the said seven suspects were arrested.
