LANAO DEL SUR SCHOOLS DIVISION I-A CONDUCTS BEAM’S SMILE PROGRAM

Division and district supervisors, school principals and school heads of Lanao del Sur schools division I-A had concluded a roll-out program initiated by the Basic Education Assistance for Mindanao-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BEAM-ARMM) called SMILE held at Celadon Pensionne House in Iligan City last December as part of the newly eimplemented K to 12 basic education program of the Department of Education DepEd.)


SMILE which stands for Support Management of an Improved Learning Environment is aimed to strengthen the capability of DepEd-ARMM in implementing the Enhanced Basic Education Program (EBEP) of K to 12 which is the general objective of the said Program.

It also aims to provide division and district supervisors with adequate understanding of the EBEP (K to 12) and enable them to provide policy and strategic support to the schools; to provide school heads with adequate understanding of EBEP (K to 12) representative and enable them to adjust school system to its implementation; and to provide school heads and master teachers with a comprehensive understanding of EBEP (K to 12) implementation aspects and the curriculum contact pedagogy and enable them and to provide instructional support to teachers.

Lanao del Sur schools division I-A is headed by Schools Division Superintendent Normillah Pangandaman and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Soraida B. Noor.
