Sultan thanks DAR Secretary Castriciones

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur: Sultan Monsing Macabando of Marawi Sultanate League (right) last Monday expressed his gratitude to Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary John R. Castriciones (center) during the 1st Stakeholders’ Consultation for the Distribution of Public Lands and Government Reservations to Rightful Claimants held at Mindanao State University in Marawi City.

"The DAR secretary's visit and the conduct of the 1st consultation in Marawi City show the department's sincerity and good intentions to the farmers of Mindanao," Sultan Macabando said. 

The affair convenes issues, opinions, and suggestions to address the concerns that may come up prior and during the conduct of land surveys in Mindanao, to determine possible lands that can be covered under CARP. 

The Consultation is also pursuant to President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to place the whole of Mindanao as land reform area and distribute all government lands, including military camps, to the farmer-beneficiaries.
