The Local Government Unit of Buadi Poso-Buntong headed by Mayor Hayanisa Noron Dadayan hosted a meeting of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) with the Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) on Thursday, March 1.

The meeting’s agenda included the following:

Presentation of Accomplishment for 2017, Cleansing of Data (Data Reconciliation), Recommendation for delisting of ghost Beneficiaries, Drive Against Corruption, Regularization of MAC monthly meeting as committed by the LGU, and LGU Summit on social protection.

During the meeting, there were anomalies discovered in the 4Ps beneficiaries. Among them are ghost 4Ps beneficiaries asking

Mariam Abantas of the town Rural Health Unit under Dr. Ali Dalidig lamented there are three barangays in the municipality where we found that of the fifty children asking to be vaccinated or the thirty pregnant women (many if not all) are ghosts.

She hoped that the data be synchronized and the same because our health population is bloated.

Abantas said they put a suggestion box at the RHU office for the community to write and drop their concerns like listing the barangays whose 4Ps with PhilHealth are not able to get MDR.

She said they are also having difficulty in reconciling the enrollees of schools which, for instance, have actually a thousand or more enrollees but there is a disparity of about 2,000.

Another problem that cropped up during the meeting was the one brought out by Principal Amina Mama under Dr. Normillah Pangandaman, Lanao del Sur Division-I schools division superintedent.

Mama revealed that everytime they called for a PTCA meeting, they noticed that names of pupils or students as listed in the 4Ps are differrent from their official names in the DepEd.

She said the problem was no one would come to them to complain on their PTCA reports which they submitted to the division who then passed them to the central office.

On her part, Mayor Dadayan asked barangay chairmen and officials, local DepEd officials and staff, and other agencies and multi-sectoral groups to be united and to help each other in working for the common welfare of their people.

She said, "If we don’t help each other, we can’t achieve our good objective."

The meeting was also attended by the municipal vice mayor, the municipal office of the Philippine National Police, and other agencies.
