Diskwento Caravan Balik-Eskwela in Lanao del Norte set
KAPATAGAN, Lanao del Norte, May 26 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lanao del Norte Provincial Office has invited local manufacturers as their partners in the Diskwento Caravan for the school opening, this year.
The Diskwento Caravan Balik-Eskwela Edition is a regular project of DTI where participating manufacturers/exhibitors sell their products at an affordable and discounted price.
The first Diskwento Caravan was held at the civic auditorium in Maigo town, this province, on May 12-13, and at the Kapatagan Town Center, May 22.
Local exhibitors of school related items willing to sell at a lower price included the CROWN Paper and Stationer, the Golden Star General Merchandise, and the Virginia Food, Inc. (canned goods), all from Iligan City.
Ruel B. Paclipan, provincial director, DTI Provincial Office, said the Diskwento Caravan Balik-Eskwela aims to provide and bring basic and prime commodities closer to the general consuming public.
In the Diskwento Caravan Edition, we have food items, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other school related merchandise that are displayed and sold with a minimum of ten percent and maximum of seventy percent discount, lower than the suggested retail price (SRP), said Paclipan.
