194 Farmers Complete GoNegosyo Enterprises Development Training in Munai, Lanao del Norte

ILIGAN CITY: 194 Farmers received Certificates of Completion of a 12-week Intensive Agri-Enterprise Development Training under the auspices of the British Embassy and the GoNegosyo, a non-government organization founded by Joey Concepcion, Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship during the Munai Model Farm Harvest Festival held at Barangay Pangao in Munai, Lanao del Norte last weekend. 

Anna Margarita Hontiveros-Malvar, GoNegosyo Entrepreneurship Adviser and Mindanao Agri-Enterprise Development Adviser told newsmen that the program is one of the services extended by their organization to depressed areas in the country especially here in the former conflict affected areas of Mindanao. 

She said that the participants of the training program came from the well-drained plateaus of barangays Pangao, Tamparan, Pantaon and Kurakura in the municipality of Munai, Lanao del Norte. 

During the festival the farmers displayed their harvested melons and vegetables like string beans, kangkong and others as it was learned that they were also trained in market-directed fruit and vegetable production. 

The program was attended by officials of the GoNegosyo, local government officials and military partners in the endeavor, it was observed. 

Among those present were Mayor Racma Andamama, her Vice Mayor and some Councilors, Lt Col. Bernardo A. Taqueban, Commanding Officer of the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion and other officers and members of his command. 

Minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Transition Authority Abdullah Macapaar known as Kumandar Bravo of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front was among the honored guests. (FED/RSP)
