MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur: Mindanao State University System (MSU) President Dr.Habib W. Macaayong and Vice President for Planning and Development Prof M. Paca had a meeting recently with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship programs headed by its Development Officer Ms. Gianina Joy Napo and Junior Associate Haron Ar Rashid Dima for a possible partnership on a "Mentor Me E-Learning Program."

It is a 15-week e-learning program that will provide students with a platform to be entrepreneurial and learn relevant business, technical and creative skills set needed to start, sustain and scale-up a business.

Inspired from his recent trip to Indonesia, President Macaayong shared the importance of having a business center, where products of the students from various courses are displaced for sale. He also envisioned a society where the out-of-school youth become entrepreneurial and earn an income so they no longer need to look for employment.

VP Paca expressed collaboration especially in the field of agribusiness by having a pilot farm in the campus. This is in response to what Mr. Dima has explained that one of the programs in Go Negosyo is to develop model farms where people in the community are highly involved in the production process and be sold to big companies, thereby making the model farm from profitable and sustainable.

Ms Napo and Mr. Dima expressed their gratitude to MSUs university administration for the future partnership in promoting entrepreneurship among the students. (ATM/RSP)
