RDO Conding is BIR national chess tourney champion

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur: Atty. Nasrollah B. Conding, revenue district officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue District Office No. 102 based in Marawi City, emerged as the surprising champion on Board 1 category of the National BIR Anniversary Chess Tournament held at BIR, Diliman, Quezon City last August 2, 2018.


Conding, present Sultan of Bacolod, Lima Datu ko Pumagsopa sa Marawi, was the lead chess player of Mindanao Cluster Team after he earned the Board 1 Champion of the last 2017 BIR Mindanao Sportfest in General Santos City.



This event was a nine-round swiss system rapid for BIR chess players all over Philippines. 

This is also the first time that Mindanao Team has participated in the chess tournament after RDO Conding won the Mindanao Sportfest. 

Mindanao Team has landed first runner up after they swept victory over Luzon Team. However, RDO Conding managed to straight 9 win without a loss except for one draw.
