Saguiaran Municipality hosts Lanao del Sur-I Sports Meet, Camporee

SAGUIARAN, Lanao del Sur 

The Municipality of Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur, hosted the 2016 Sports Meet and Camporee of the Schools Division of Lanao del Sur-I which was held on November 21-27, 2016 at Saguiaran Municipal Sports Complex here.

Dr. Somerado Pandapatan representing ARMM’s education secretary John Magno, led dignitaries and personalities who graced the occasion which included Sultan Musa Diamla who represented Provincial Governor Bedjoria Alonto Adiong,

In his welcome address, Muncipal Mayor Macmod Riga Muti said he was happy that Saguiaran has been chosen to host the event.

He said he is happy to welcome the officials, participants and all and assured them of his full support and of his entire officials and constituents to the activity.

He said: “You can see them wearing IDs and please don’t hesitate to approach them for any question and they are ready to assist you.”

Meanwhile, Pandapatan said, “In behalf of the education secretary and 31,972 teachers and officialdom of DepEd-ARMM under the stewardship of Mgno, and of the 83,000 strong public school teachers across the Philippine archipelago,” Pandapatan said, “he expressed his warmest felicitations to the organizers and participants of the 2016 Sports Meet and BSP Camporee.”

Pandapatan is the regional BAPOSS director and at the same time member of the national board of trustees of the Philippine Public School Teachers Association (PPSTA.)

The division was headed by Dr. Normillah Pangandaman as Schools Division Superintendent.

Mr. Ali M. Radiamoda, PESS/BSP supervisor, was in-charge of the meet and camporee activities with a theme: “Soaring High Through Sports and Scouting.”

On his part, Diamla encouraged the boy scouts by saying they will be the incoming leaders of the community. He said you are required to play to train you well to be prepared when time comes so that work can be easily perform by you.

“In behalf of the Governor and Vice Governor, the provincial government assures you of its full support,” said Diamla, adding that, “For whatever problem that you have, please dpn’t hesitate to come to the provincial capitol.”
