Mass Contract Signing, Oath Taking for Health Workers’ Deployment Programs done in Capitol


In the interest of continuing the delivery of quality health care and the aim of achieving the goal of Universal Health Care, the Integrated Provincial Health Officer of Lanao del Sur headed by Dr. Alinader D. Minalang with its Provincial Program Management Team headed by PHO I Dra. Shalimar Rakiin, conducted a Mass Oath Taking and Contract Signing for different Health Manpower Deployment Programs under the Department of Health.

The event was held last July 12 at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol of Lanao del Sur.

Currently there are six deployment programs that are aiding the manpower here in the province, namely the Nurse Deployment Program, Rural Health Midwives Placement Program, Dentist Deployment Program, Medtech Deployment Program, Public Health Associates Deployment Program and the Doctors to the Barrios, and all except the latter were deployed on the said day.

During the program, Ms. Soraya Hedjara A. Rakim, Chief of Staff to the Governor, delivered an inspiring message to the crowd and representing the Provincial Governor’s message which was appreciation of the additional manpower to serve the Lanao del Sur populace and the pledge to continue their support to all the DOH programs in the rpovince. 


By the end of the ceremony, 327 nurses, 12 midwives, 3 medical technologists, 4 dentist and 40 PHAs, both newly hired and renewed were able to sign their contracts and take their oaths. 

The health workers were to be deployed in Marawi City and the 39 different municipalities throughout the province from July until December of this year. 

Before being deployed to their respective areas, the newly hired ones were also required to attend a 2 day orientation and lecture regarding their roles and responsibilities which started by the following day, July 13. (IPHO/RSOY/TNRS)
