NFA Lanao del Sur ensures low price, good quality rice

In line with the government’s policy to alleviate hunger, the National Food Authority (NFA)in Lanao del Sur is assuring the public that it will ensure low price on good quality NFA rice in the market so that low-incomed families can afford to eat.
In a statement, NFA-Marawi City and Lanao del Sur information officer Khayamera H.Y. Dialem told The New Ranao Star that rice inventory in its warehouses are at safe level which will serve as buffer stock in case emergency will occur.
She said NFA teams are always monitoring the stabilization of rice and price of rice.
“For all these years,” she stressed, “the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Local Government Units (LGUs), and BGMP are being served by NFA by selling them rice to cater to their feeding programs.”
“And to make NFA rice available everywhere in the province, we are giving regular releases to NFA accredited rice retailer inside and outside the market,” she added.
NFA Marawi and Lanao del Sur office is headed by Hadja Sittienaida D. Sampaco, its provincial manager.
