PAMET holds Medical Mission in Munai, LdN

The Philippine Association of Medical Technologist (PAMET), Iligan Chapter conducted a Medical Mission in the cool and beautiful hinterland municipality of Munai, Lanao del Norte, Sunday, January 24.

According to PAMET-Iligan President Rodrigo Rodriguez, their organization intends to render services to people in remote places in Iligan and Lanao del Norte that need medical assistance.

He thanked the Mayor of the host municipality Muamar Maquiling who was represented by his father former town Mayor and Board Member of Lanao del Norte for supporting the event.

He also thanked all those who participated in the activity especially the volunteer doctors, nurses, attendants, physical therapists and the PNP/Army contingents that provided security.

It was gathered that the event was also coordinated and assisted by the 15th Infantry Battalion under the command of Lt. Col. Leo Mar Doctolero.

In his welcome remarks, former town Mayor and Lanao del Norte Board Member Casan Maquiling thanked PAMET and all the cooperating organizations for visiting and rendering service to his constituents.

He said that what makes him more thankful is that people from the City had visited his municipality and later they could help inform the people of the Coastal regions that Munai is a beautiful and peaceful place.

During the mission 70 patients went through blood typing, 46 patients had blood sugar tests, 129 had blood pressure checks, 74 boys went through circumcision and 161 individuals received free medicines.

Other services were also rendered and 40 children had free ice cream, 50 kids watched a video show, 31 had massage under Physical Therapists, 50 kids were fed lunch and 65 kids got gifts.

There were also parlor games where winners got prizes.
