The lakeshore municipality of Ditsaan-Ramain, Lanao del Sur was awarded a P2.8 Million Fish Port for its fishermen by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

In a recent visit of The New Ranao Star, Chief of Staff Khadafy Alip Bacarat of the City Mayor’s Office disclosed that last February 6, 2016, DA Secretary Proceso Alcala awarded a Plaque referring to the project to Mayor A. Anna Mahlyne “Annie” M. A. Macarampat at the former’s office in Manila.

Bacarat showed the Plaque, mounted on a platform in the Office of the Mayor.

According to Bacarat, construction of the said fish port is now underway.

The said fish port is one of the projects being implemented under the administration of then Vice Mayor Macarampat who assumed office as Mayor last December 2015 following the dismissal of elected Mayor Ali Adiong by the Ombudsman due to an administrative case.

Bacarat also revealed that the local government of Ditsaan-Ramain has been receiving its Internal Revenue Allotment since December 2015 under the Macarampat administration.

Bacarat who holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree was hired by Macarampat as her Chief of Staff last January, 2016.

He informed that most of the employees now serving the people of the municipality are career service personnel.

Only very few co-terminus employees were hired to deliver essential services to the people, Bacarat said. TNRS
