NEGOSYO CENTER LAUNCHED IN ILIGAN

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Office of Lanao del Norte launched, September 16 its “Negosyo Center” within its office compound at Durias Building, Quezon Avenue Extension, Palao, Iligan City.


Provincial Director Ruel Paclipan told newsmen that the Center is established in accordance with Republic Act No. 105644, otherwise known as the “Go Negosyo Act.”

DTI-Region X Director Linda O. Boniao gave an overview of the Center.

She told the audience that the Center is a “one-stop shop” for services that cater to the entrepreners’ need in processing requirements to establish a business and in assessing information essential for their growth.

Business Registration Assistance is one of the services offered. It facilitates processing and documentation of paper requirements necessary for the establishment of micro, small and medium enterprises.

Business Advocacy Services are also provided according to the needs of MSMEs through one-on-one consultation, focus group discussion and coaching/mentoring.

Business Information and Advocacy is also offered through the conduct of trainings, seminars and dialogues to increase MSMEs’ productivity and efficiency.

Congressman Vicente F. Belmonte, Jr. gave his expression of support emphasizing that he has been causing the construction of roads and bridges to the hinterlands with the view of supporting trade and industry within his district.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. President Emily Dell M. Pascua also committed on behalf of their organization their full support for the “Negosyo Center.”

The launching ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between DTI and among PICPA, MSU-IIT, IBCI, PMAP, CCIFI, and SMC.

Under the MOA, all signatory organization shall cooperate and share their resources in providing the services offered by the Center to Stakeholders.
