Lanao del Norte town officials pledge support for Roxas

Tubod, Lanao del Norte – More than 150 municipal officials from this fast-rising province were sworn in by national officers of ruling Liberal Party (LP) during the orientation seminar for new party members held at Villa Romana, Brgy. Poblacion, in capital town Tubod.

The newly inducted members also pledged their solid support to former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas, who is the proclaimed LP standard bearer in national elections next year.

“I think the leadership here can deliver in the upcoming elections and that Governor Khalid (Dimaporo) has command of his constituents”, observed LP Deputy Director General Stephen Roy Cruz. Also present for the orientation activity is Jose Patricio Valdenor, Political Consultant of Liberal Party.

Among the municipalities present during the orientation and oath-taking ceremony were Linamon, Bacolod, Kauswagan, Matungao, Tagoloan, Nunungan, Maigo, Kolambugan, Tubod, Baroy, Lala, Kapatagan, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Poona Piagapo, Sapad, Pantar, Tangcal, and Magsaysay.

Governor Khalid Dimaporo, Vice-Governor Cristy Atay and town mayors led the oath-taking rites for the municipal councilors who were inducted into the Liberal Party.

Topics discussed during the orientation seminar include history of the Liberal Party, ideology and principles of Partido Liberal.

Roxas is the party’s chosen candidate to continue the gains of ‘Matuwid na Daan’ started by President Benigno Aquino III. This reform agenda for good governance has resulted in improved revenue collection and a more robust economic growth for the country.

“The true test of a political leader is not in winning the election but in delivering the votes needed for our national candidates”, exhorted Governor Dimaporo. VNL/PIO-LDN
