Lanao N turns over 20 mini-dump trucks to barangays

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, November 3 (PIA) – Twenty brand new mini-dump trucks were turned-over to barangay chairmen-recipients from three municipalities in Lanao del Norte, held at the lobby area of Provincial Capitol Building, Pigcarangan, Tubod town on October 28, 2014.

Governor Khalid Dimaporo, who led the turn-over ceremony, urged the barangay officials to maximize the use of these trucks so people in the barangays will see and feel that their leaders are working hard to improve their lives and bring progress in the community.

The recipients are 11 barangays from the coastal municipality of Kapatagan, seven from Sultan Naga Dimaporo, and two from Sapad town.

“In behalf of the barangay leaders present here today, we would like to thank our good governor Khalid Dimaporo for entrusting to us these mini dump trucks. This is really a big help to us in improving our waste management system and barangay roads,” expressed Barangay Chairman Avelita Tongco of Waterfalls, in Kapatagan.

A Memorandum of Agreement was entered and signed by among the recipients as to proper use and maintenance of the vehicles.

The distribution of mini-dump trucks is one of the projects of ‘Kabarangayan Sigurado Program’ being implemented by Governor Dimaporo in coordination with the First and Second Congressional Districts of Lanao del Norte. (LAR/PIO-LDN/PIA-10 LDN)
