Just In. NGCP tower in Marawi bombed

MARAWI CITY, October 30 -- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced that one of its towers in Patani, this city was bombed Thursday night at 9:20.

In an advisory sent to The New Ranao Star early today, NGCP said the incident isolated Agus 1 (80MW) and Agus 2 (180MW) from the grid and caused brownout in several areas in the Mindanao Grid.

NGCP will begin restoration as soon as the area is secured, said the advisory. TNRS
